Who We Are?
Our Mission
To provide a suicide prevention strategy to a younger generation in their key developmental years, while teaching them practical life and social skills to prepare them for the future of work.
- Building a community of role models and peers, offering support and empathy.
- Learning together to develop new and transferable skills and build mental strength.
- Engaging with the natural world through outdoor activities; learning to work as a team.
- Embracing culture to support shared values and develop cross-cultural appreciation.
OUR VISION
To increase the mental well-being of our young people in New Zealand.
To decrease suicide rates and prevent depression and addiction.
To empower young people and make them feel valued.
To foster greater whanaungatanga, kinships, in our communities, especially between the young and
old
OUR UNIQUE APPROACH
There is currently no single app offering these services to this age-group. By mapping videos of all
events, public locations, businesses, community groups and organisations that cater to youth in an
easy to use application users receive a complete wrap around service.
BUSINESS DIRECTORY
The app and website will be funded by a directory for businesses, community groups and
organisations catering to youth, mental health support services are specifically targeted, all of which
must meet a strict set of safety criteria to protect our young people.
For every paid listing which costs $100 per year you can nominate a community group to list for free
